DHANKUTA: A truck accident in Sangurigadhi Rural Municipality–9 of Dhankuta along the Koshi Highway killed one person and seriously injured another early Monday morning.

The incident happened at around 2 a.m. when the moving vehicle went out of control and plunged off the road.

According to police, the deceased has been identified as 26-year-old Narayan Khadka, helping staff of the truck from Udayapurgadhi Rural Municipality–9, Udayapur.

Similarly, the driver, identified as approximately 19-year-old Dinesh Kshetri of Ranitaar, Udayapur, sustained serious injuries.

District Police Office Dhankuta informed that the mini-truck (registration number Pradesh 3-01-003 Ka 6906), which was transporting vegetables from Dhankuta to Dharan, went out of control and fell about 300 meters off the road.
