CHITWAN: A teenage boy drowned while swimming in the Narayani River.

Kumar Nepali, a resident of Bharatpur Metropolitan City-17, died after drowning in the river at around 1:30 PM on Monday. He had gone swimming with his parents when he drowned and fell unconscious.

His father rescued him and rushed him to New Medical College in Bharatpur, but he passed away during treatment, according to Inspector Bikram Rijal of the Chanauli Area Police Office. Nepali’s body has been sent to Bharatpur Hospital for post-mortem examination.
