KATHMANDU: Three people died in a van accident on the way from Butwal to Myaldhap in Palpa on Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, the deceased have been identified as 37-year-old Muktabahadur Budhathoki of Rainadevi Chhahara Rural Municipality-1, Siddheshwar; 34-year-old Kamal Rayamajhi of the same rural municipality-4, Amlabas; and 41-year-old Rambahadur Gaha.

The van (Lu.P.01-001Ja 0091) skidded off the inner road section at Pipal Bhanjyang in Rainadevi Chhahara Rural Municipality-4, Palpa, and fell about 350 meters down the slope, said Palpa Police Spokesperson DSP Hom Prakash Chaudhary.

All three were rescued in critical condition and rushed to Tansen Hospital, where doctors pronounced them dead.
