KATHMANDU: Two people have died in a road accident involving a school bus and a motorcycle at Selfie Danda, located in Namobuddha Municipality-2, along the BP Highway in Kavre district.

The accident occurred when a school bus (registration number Ba 4 Kha 71) heading towards Bhakundebesi from Namobuddha collided head-on with a motorcycle (registration number Ba 71 Pa 6880) coming from the opposite direction.

The motorcycle rider, 23-year-old Pasang Tamang, and the pillion passenger, 22-year-old Bijay Tamang, both residents of Namobuddha-2, sustained critical injuries.

They were rushed to Dhulikhel Hospital for treatment, but both died during the course of treatment, according to the District Police Office, Kavre.
