DHANUSHA: Two people died and one was critically injured in a motorbike accident in Dhanusha on Friday.

According to District Police Office Chief SP Narahari Regmi, 18-year-old Amit Yadav and 16-year-old Kush Mishra of Baanarjhula, Janaknandini-5, died on the spot after their motorbike went out of control near Khoksaha bridge between Maachi and Lagamaa of Kamala Municipality-2.

Seventeen-year-old Rahul Mahato, who was riding pillion, sustained serious injuries and is undergoing treatment at Provincial Hospital Janakpurdham, police confirmed.

The three were heading from Lagamaa Bazaar on an Indian-registered motorcycle when the accident occurred.

Police said further investigation is underway.
