NAWALPUR: Two individuals went missing after jumping into the Narayani River on the same day.

According to the District Police Office, Nawalpur, 15-year-old Aadesh Shrestha from Kusumghat, Gaindakot Municipality-5, and 59-year-old Mitha Giri, a permanent resident of Nuwakot district, jumped into the river and have gone missing.

Shrestha reportedly jumped on Tuesday morning, while Giri jumped on Tuesday night from the Gaindakot-2 side of the bridge connecting Narayanghat and Gaindakot, as informed by Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Madhu Nepal.

Despite continued search efforts by Nepal Police and Armed Police Force, both individuals remain unaccounted for as of now.
