DHAKA: The Bangladesh Police Headquarters announced on Tuesday that 48,134 police officers have completed election training, with the program continuing until mid-January.

This is part of preparations to deploy approximately 150,000 personnel for Bangladesh’s upcoming National Parliamentary Election.

The objective is to ensure professional and disciplined conduct for a free, fair, neutral, and festive atmosphere.

The training was inaugurated on September 7 by Home Affairs Adviser Lt Gen Md Jahangir Alam Chowdhury (Retd) and follows a Training of Trainers (ToT) course held from August 31 to September 2.

The Inspector General of Police (IGP) ordered close supervision of the program and personally inspected field training in Rajshahi and Bogra.
