BEIJING: Thailand’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced on November 6, 2025, that King Maha Vajiralongkorn and Queen Suthida will make a state visit to China from November 13 to 17 at the invitation of President Xi Jinping.

The visit, marking the 50th anniversary of Thailand-China diplomatic relations, will be the first ever by a reigning Thai monarch to China.

During the five-day visit, Their Majesties will attend an official welcome ceremony at the Great Hall of the People, where they will meet President Xi and Premier Li Qiang. A state banquet will also be hosted in their honor.

The royal itinerary includes paying homage to the Sacred Tooth Relic of the Buddha at Lingguang Temple and touring key institutions such as Beijing Aerospace City, the Center for Educational Technology and Resource Development, and the Innovation Center of Humanoid Robotics.

Before returning home, the King and Queen will visit the Palace Museum’s special exhibition “Golden Friendship, Shared Brilliance,” celebrating 50 years of bilateral relations.

Designated as the Golden Year of Friendship, 2025 symbolizes the enduring bond and mutual understanding between Thailand and China, which the Thai government says this visit will further strengthen for years to come.
