Nepal’s Ganesh Gurung has placed eighth in canoeing at the 19th Asian Games (Asiad) held in Hangzhou, China.

Ganesh, who entered the final stage, was the eighth out of 10 finalists. Ganesh was in the top 10 in the semi-final stage on Saturday and reached the final stage.

In canoeing, China’s Quan Xin won gold, Japan’s Tana Yuki won silver and Chinese Taipei’s U Shao Hasun won bronze. 16 athletes participated in canoeing.
