Aasif Sheikh climbs four spots, Kushal Bhurtel drops 10 in ICC ODI rankings

KATHMANDU: Nepal’s national cricket team opener Kushal Bhurtel has slipped 10 places in the latest ICC One Day International (ODI) rankings, landing at 99th position.

According to the new rankings released by the International Cricket Council (ICC) on Wednesday, Bhurtel’s position dropped significantly compared to the previous update.

Meanwhile, Nepal’s Aasif Sheikh climbed four spots to reach 91st place, showing improved performance in the ODI batting rankings.

Aarif Sheikh, however, fell three places and now stands at 94th.

At the top of the ODI batting rankings, India’s Rohit Sharma has regained the No. 1 position after climbing two spots.

Afghanistan’s Ibrahim Zadran holds second place, while India’s Shubman Gill slipped two places to third.

Pakistan’s Babar Azam is ranked fourth.

In the ODI bowling rankings, Nepal’s Lalit Rajbanshi remains steady at 48th position.

Sandeep Lamichhane has dropped one place to 59th, while Dipendra Singh Airee and Karan KC fell to 81st and 90th, down by two and eight places respectively.

In the ODI all-rounder rankings, Sompal Kami has dropped eight places to 61st, and Lamichhane has slipped one spot to 62nd.

Rajbanshi, however, climbed four spots to 74th, while Kushal Malla fell four places to 73rd.
