ANFA U-16 Youth League: Manang Marshyangdi defeats Tribhuvan Army Club 2–0

KATHMANDU: Departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club suffered a setback against Manang Marshyangdi Club in the ANFA U-16 Youth League football match.

In the match held on Wednesday at the ANFA ground in Satdobato, Manang defeated Army 2–0. Both goals were scored by Prakash Singh.

Prakash netted both goals in the second half—once in the 49th minute and again in the 54th.

With this win, Manang has climbed to fifth place with 14 points from seven matches. Army, with just three points from the same number of games, stands at 13th place.

The league, organized by the All-Nepal Football Association (ANFA), features participation from 14 ‘A’ Division clubs.

The winning team will receive a cash prize of Rs 100,000, while the runner-up will be awarded Rs 50,000.

Additionally, ANFA has announced that the best players in individual categories and the most disciplined team will each receive Rs 15,000 in prize money.
