KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a 15-member Nepal ‘A’ squad for the All India Gold Cup Cricket Tournament, set to be held in Uttarakhand, India. Opening batter Anil Sah has been named captain of the side.
The squad features a mix of emerging domestic players and cricketers on the fringes of the senior national team, aimed at building depth and providing international-level exposure through competitive matches.
The selected players are Anil Sah (Captain), Mayan Yadav, Trit Raj Das, Dev Khanal, Rashid Khan, Basir Ahmad, Narayan Joshi, Aakash Chand, Hemant Dhami, Pawan Sarraf, Deepak Dumre, Yubraj Khatri, Bipin Khatri, Lalit Rajbanshi, and Arjun Kumal.
Nepal ‘A’ has been placed in the group stage alongside Indian provincial teams. The side will open its campaign against Kerala on May 30, followed by matches against Goa on May 31 and Odisha on June 2. If they progress beyond the group stage, the quarterfinals are scheduled for June 4, the semifinals for June 6, and the final on June 7.
