KATHMANDU: Nepal’s national blind women’s cricket team will play its first match against Sri Lanka in the inaugural Blind T20 Women’s World Cup.
This historic tournament—the first-ever women’s blind cricket World Cup—will be held from November 11 to 23 across various cities in India and Sri Lanka.
Nepal will open its campaign on November 12 at Colonel Singh Stadium, New Delhi against Sri Lanka.
Their second match will be against India on November 14 at MAHE Ground, Bengaluru, followed by matches against England on November 15 and the USA on November 16, concluding the Bengaluru leg.
After moving to Colombo, Nepal will face Australia on November 18 and Pakistan on November 19.
The final is scheduled for November 23 in Colombo, although the exact venue is yet to be confirmed.
The tournament will kick off in New Delhi with the host India playing against Sri Lanka.
A total of seven teamswill participate: Nepal, India, Australia, USA, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and England.
Nepal’s national blind women’s team recently completed a 10-day preparatory camp in Kathmandu and is now focusing on practice sessions at Pokhara Cricket Ground ahead of the World Cup.
