CAN announces 16-member squad for Unity NEP-WI Cup against West Indies

KATHMANDU: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a 16-member Nepali cricket team for the upcoming Unity NEP-WI Cup.

Adil Alam, who performed well against Assam with Nepal ‘A’ team, makes a return to the senior national squad after over two years of suspension.

He has progressed from the ‘A’ team to the senior team ahead of the series.Nepal will face West Indies in a three-match series on September 27, 29, and 30.

The matches will be held in the UAE at the Sharjah Cricket Stadium.CAN officially named the series the “Unity Cup” on Sunday.

Nepal squad for the series against West Indies:
Rohit Paudel (Captain), Dipendra Singh Airee (Vice-Captain), Ashif Sheikh (Wicketkeeper), Sandeep Lamichhane, Kushal Bhurtel, Kushal Malla, Lokesh Bam, Mohammad Adil Alam, Arif Sheikh, Sandeep Jora, Karan KC, Nandan Yadav, Gulshan Jha, Lalitnarayan Rajbanshi, Sompal Kami, and Sahab Alam.
