KATHMANDU: Chitlang Football Club made a strong start in the ANFA President’s League, defeating Deurali Youth Club 4–1 in the tournament’s opening match at Gauritar Stadium on Wednesday.

Chitlang’s goals came from Chandan Kumar Das, Laahan Subba, Bigyan Khadka, and Madan Syangtang, while Ramchandra Baaji scored the lone goal for Deurali.

Chandan opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, giving Chitlang an early lead.

Laahan and Bigyan added goals during injury time of the first half, putting the team ahead 3–0 at halftime.

In the second half, both teams scored once.

Madan extended Chitlang’s lead to 4–0 in the 88th minute, and Ramchandra netted a consolation goal for Deurali in the 93rd minute.

With no further goals, Chitlang FC secured a convincing 4–1 win, marking an impressive start to the league.
