KATHMANDU: Nepal is set to take on host United Arab Emirates (UAE) today in the final match of the ICC Cricket World Cup League-2 tri-series being held in the UAE.
The match will begin at 11:15 a.m. Nepali time at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium.
Nepal enters today’s fixture under immense pressure to win after suffering three consecutive defeats in the ongoing series.
Nepal lost its first match to the United States by 106 runs, followed by a 5-wicket loss to UAE in the second game, and a 4-wicket defeat to the United States in the third match.
Host UAE is also under pressure to win today’s game. The tri-series features the United States, Nepal, and UAE — with the U.S. remaining unbeaten so far.
In the points table, the United States currently sits at the top with 36 points from 24 matches. UAE, having played 19 matches, is at the bottom with only 8 points.
Nepal, which has also played 19 matches, has earned 12 points but has yet to collect any points in this UAE series after three games.
