KATHMANDU: Lumbini Lions have retained six prominent players for Nepal Premier League (NPL) Season 2, aiming to build a stronger team for the upcoming competition.

The retained players include marquee player Rohit Kumar Paudel, along with Vivek Yadav, Sandeep Jora, Dinesh Adhikari, Tilak Raj Bhandari, and Abhises Gautam.

Meanwhile, players such as Surya Tamang, Arjun Saud, Durgesh Gupta, Ashutosh Ghiraiyan, Bikash Agri, and Arif Khan have been released.

Lumbini Lions chairman Ishwar GC expressed gratitude to the released players for their contributions, saying, “Their efforts were invaluable, and they will always remain part of our family. We hope to see them don the jersey again in the future.”

The team, known as the ‘Roar of Pride,’ looks forward to the new season with renewed energy and the continuous support of their fans.

Lumbini Lions also plan to give opportunities to young talents and carefully select foreign players to strengthen the squad from all angles.
