LALITPUR: Manang Marshyangdi Club and Friends Club registered victories in Monday’s matches of the ANFA U-16 Youth League Football Tournament held at the ANFA ground in Satdobato.

In a high-scoring encounter, Manang Marshyangdi defeated defending champions Church Boys Club 4–3.

Ram Arjel led the win with two goals, while Rohan Thapa Magar and Dharvindra Bohara contributed one goal each.

For Church Boys, Sushan Thapamagar netted twice and Sujit Lama added another.

With the win, Manang climbed to second place on the table with 10 points from four matches. In contrast, Church Boys remain with just three points from the same number of games.

In another match of the day, Friends Club outclassed departmental team Tribhuvan Army Club with a dominant 3–0 victory.

Puran Shrestha and Mandeep Dhungel each scored a goal, while the third came as an own goal from the Army side.

This marks the third win in four matches for Friends, while Army has now suffered three losses from four games.
