KATHMANDU: The departmental team Nepal Army has entered the semifinals of the National Hockey Championship in the men’s category on Sunday.

Army reached the semifinals remaining unbeaten in Group ‘A’ league matches.

At the Chyasal ground, Army defeated Koshi Province 3–0.

For Army, Kashiraj Rai, Dipendra Air, and Rajendra Karki each scored one goal.

Rajendra was declared the “Player of the Match.”

Earlier in the group stage, Army had defeated Gandaki Province and Madhesh Province.

On Sunday, the matches between Nepal Police and Bagmati Province in the men’s category, and between Army and Gandaki in the women’s category, were affected by rain.

These matches will be played on Monday. In the women’s category, Madhesh will compete against Bagmati.
