KATHMANDU: Nepal has lifted the ICC T20 World Cup Asia-East Asia Pacific Qualifier title.
In the final match held in Oman, Nepal defeated Samoa by 124 runs to complete an unbeaten run and claim the championship.
By finishing at the top of the standings, Nepal secured its place in the 2026 ICC T20 World Cup, while Oman and the UAE finished second and third respectively to also qualify for the global tournament.
Chasing a target of 212 runs set by Nepal, Samoa managed to score only 87 runs for the loss of seven wickets in their 20 overs.
In bowling, Lalit Rajbanshi took three wickets for Nepal, while Karan KC, Sandeep Lamichhane, and captain Rohit Paudel picked up one wicket each.
