Nepal defeats South Australia in thrilling one-day practice match

KATHMANDU: The Nepali national cricket team, touring Australia, secured a thrilling victory over South Australia in a one-day practice match.

Captain Rohit Paudel starred with an outstanding century, guiding Nepal to a dramatic two-wicket win. Chasing a target of 243 runs set by South Australia, Nepal reached the mark with two wickets remaining and five balls to spare. Number 10 batsman Sompal Kami partnered with Rohit, adding an unbeaten 38 runs to the total.

Rohit remained not out on 101 runs. The team staged a remarkable recovery from 160 for 8 to achieve the target, thanks to the resilience of Rohit and his teammates.

Earlier, South Australia had batted first, posting 242 runs in their allotted 45 overs. Nepal’s Nandan Yadav and Sompal Kami each claimed three wickets to restrict the opposition.
