KATHMANDU: Nepal has advanced to the Super Six stage of the ICC T20 World Cup Asia and East Asia-Pacific Qualifiers as group winners.

In their final group match, Nepal defeated Japan by five wickets, securing two crucial points to move forward.

After Japan batted first and set a target of 132 runs, Nepal chased it down in 18 overs, losing five wickets.

Japan, finishing as group runners-up, also qualified for the Super Six stage.
