KATHMANDU: Nepali cricket star Sharad Vesawkar has retired from international cricket.

He announced his retirement on Sunday after Nepal’s final match in the Hong Kong Sixes tournament.

Vesawkar captained Nepal in the Hong Kong Sixes. In the final game on Sunday, Nepal lost to the UAE, ending their campaign in the tournament.

Earlier, Nepal had defeated India on Saturday but suffered defeats against Afghanistan, South Africa, Sri Lanka, and the UAE.

Following the match against the UAE, the Hong Kong Sixes shared a farewell video of Sharad Vesawkar on their official Facebook page.
