KATHMANDU: In the Nepal Premier League (NPL) title clash, Sudurpaschim Royals have set a modest target of 86 runs for Lumbini Lions to win.
Sudurpaschim Royals, who chose to bat first after winning the toss at the Tribhuvan International Cricket Stadium in Kirtipur, were bowled out for 85 runs in 19.1 overs.
Ishan Pandey scored the highest 33 runs for Sudurpaschim. He scored 33 runs off 51 balls with the help of one four. Similarly, captain Dipendra Singh Airee scored 13 runs, while Harmit Singh and Scott Kugelion added 10 runs each.
Apart from that, other batters could not add runs in double figures. The bowlers of Lumbini Lions performed excellently.
For the Lumbini Lions, Sher Malla, Ruben Trampelmann and Captain Rohit Poudel each took three wickets.
Similarly, Tika Bhandari took one wicket. Lumbini is batting now.
