POKHARA: Pokhara Avengers have signed experienced England wicketkeeper-batter Adam Rossington for the second season of the Nepal Premier League (NPL), scheduled to be held from November 17 to December 13.
The franchise said Rossington, 32, was brought in to strengthen the team’s top order ahead of the upcoming tournament.
Rossington has had a long domestic career in England. He began his professional journey with Middlesex, later representing Northamptonshire and Essex.
In county cricket, he has played over 100 first-class matches, and in the T20 format, he has featured in 186 games, amassing 3,586 runs.
A right-handed batter and wicketkeeper, Rossington is known for his aggressive batting during the powerplay, which Pokhara Avengers hope will give them a strong start.
He previously impressed in the Pakistan Super League (PSL) with Karachi Kings and helped Sunrisers Eastern Cape clinch the title in the inaugural season of South Africa’s SA20 League.
Rossington said he is excited to play in Nepal and looks forward to delivering a strong performance for the Pokhara fans in the upcoming NPL season.
