KATHMANDU: A Nepali player Renu Tamang secured a bronze medal in taekwondo in the ongoing 5th Asian Youth Para Games taking place in Dubai.

Her coach, Kaviraj Negi Lama, informed that Renu had advanced to the semi finals after overcoming Nasrin Akhtar from Bangladesh in her opening match.

Renu scored 15–3 in the first round and 12–0 in the second round. However, in the semifinals, she was defeated by Zahra Soltani of Iran, falling behind with scores of 0–2 in the first round and 0–1 in the second round.
