KATHMANDU: Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has announced a seven-member squad for the Hong Kong Sixes, with Sharad Bheshwakar as captain.

The squad retains last year’s captain Sandeep Jora, Lokesh Bam, and Rashid Khan, while Basir Ahmad, Adil Alam, and Rupesh Singh make their debut.

The 33-year-old Hong Kong Sixes tournament will take place from November 7–9 at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground.

Nepal had reached the second-plate semifinal last year, defeating England by six wickets and Australia by 11 runs, but lost to Sri Lanka and UAE.

Last year, Jora scored 108 runs across four innings with two half-centuries, Rashid made 88, and Lokesh contributed 78.

This year, Nepal is in Group A alongside South Africa and Afghanistan. Other participating teams include India, Pakistan, Australia, England, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, and host Hong Kong (China).
