KATHMANDU: As many as 78,000 foreign tourists entered Nepal during last September. According to the data unveiled by the Nepal Tourism Board (NTB) today, a total of 78, 711 tourists visited Nepal in the reporting period.
Inflow of tourists during tourism season has shrunk according to the data. The number of tourist arrival has been lessened by 18.3 percent in comparison to September last year. In September 2024, a total of 96,302 tourists had visited Nepal.
According to the NTB’s data, the number of tourist arrivals was 15, 556 from India, 5,237 from China, 9, 679 from the United States, 3, 015 from Sri Lanka and 2, 230 from Bangladesh, among others.
In last August, there was an influx of 88,680 tourists.
