The group, which included three British women, had been stranded in Mustang’s Hidden Valley due to heavy snowfall that began on Monday while they were descending toward Marpha after circling Mount Dhaulagiri.
A joint rescue team comprising personnel from the Nepal Army, Armed Police Force, and Nepal Police located the trekkers on Friday morning. They were found at a place called Tapse Danda, about 12,800 feet above sea level.
All the trekkers are in good health and are now heading toward Yak Kharka. Following reports that the trekkers were trapped in the snow, the rescue team had been deployed from Mustang despite continuing snowfall.
According to officials, the trekkers had been stuck in heavy snow at Hidden Valley since Monday evening.
The valley lies between Dhaulagiri and Sita Himal, beyond a mountain pass, and is located at an altitude of about 5,100 meters above sea level on the slope above Tukchepi.
