MUSTANG: A team led by renowned Chinese mountaineer He Jing has successfully completed first ascents of two previously unclimbed peaks in the Mustang Himal range.
The expedition, organized by Seven Summit Treks, reached the summits of Jyanglatunpu Peak at 6,062 meters and Kekyap Ri I at 6,187 meters on Sunday.

He Jing was joined by International Federation of Mountain Guides Associations (IFMGA) guide Dawa Phinjo Lama Bhote and senior Nepali guides Ming Temba Sherpa, Phurba Sonam Sherpa, and Speed Dawa.
The team began its summit push early morning after establishing base camp on February 8. The expedition is now descending and plans to attempt another virgin peak in the Chhuama range (Chhuama Peak IV at 6179 meters).
