Polish climber rescued from Manaslu region

KATHMANDU: A Polish national who had reached Namrung in Chumnubri Rural Municipality–4 of Gorkha for the Manaslu expedition has been rescued by helicopter after falling ill due to high altitude sickness.

According to the Gorkha District Administration Office, 36-year-old Adam Bartosz Piacierbek, was rescued at around 5 p.m. on Monday and airlifted to Kathmandu for treatment.

The rescue operation was carried out in coordination with the Gorkha District Administration Office, and the patient has been taken to Kathmandu for medical care.
