DOLAKHA: Three climbers, including two Nepali guides and one foreigner, were killed this morning when an avalanche struck near the base camp of Yalungri in Rolwaling, Gaurishankar Rural Municipality-9.
Eight others are reported missing.
Police said the group, which included 15 foreign climbers and local guides, was caught in the avalanche around 9:00 AM.
The condition of the missing climbers remains uncertain.
Rescue efforts were delayed due to restrictions on helicopter flights in the area.
The Nepali Army, Nepal Police, and Armed Police Force are en route to the site, but adverse weather has hampered immediate access.
