KATHMANDU: Monsoon winds are currently affecting the country. The monsoon low pressure line is located around the mean temperature in the east and slightly north of the mean temperature in the west.
The hilly regions of the country, including Gandaki Province, Lumbini Province, Karnali Province, and Sudurpaschim Province, are generally cloudy, while the rest of the country is partially cloudy. Light rain is occurring in one or two places in Lumbini Province and Karnali Province.
According to the Flood Forecasting Division, as of Saturday morning, the flow of the Koshi, Narayani, Karnali, Mahakali, Kamala, Bagmati, East Rapti, West Rapti, Babai, and Kankai rivers is below the alert level.
Today, the flow of small rivers flowing through Bara, Parsa, Rautahat, Kathmandu, Lalitpur, Bhaktapur, Dolakha, Sindhupalchowk, Makawanpur, Kavrepalanchowk, Nawalparasi East, Nawalparasi West and surrounding districts is forecast to increase significantly and the possibility of moderate risk of flash floods is expected to remain high.
Additionally, the flow of small rivers flowing through Sankhuwasabha, Solukhumbu, Okhaldhunga, Ramechhap, Sindhuli, Gorkha, Dhading, Nuwakot, Salyan, Rukum East, Rukum West, Kaski, Syangja, Baglung, Myagdi, Parbat, Gulmi, Pyuthan, Baitadi, Doti, Bajhang and surrounding districts is forecast to increase significantly and the risk of flash floods is expected to remain moderate.
Tomorrow, the flow of some small rivers flowing through Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces is expected to increase suddenly.
