BHAIRAHAWA: Continuous heavy rainfall since last night has disrupted daily life in Bhairahawa and nearby areas.

Flooding in various parts of the city has made commuting difficult for local residents. Floodwaters have accumulated particularly in Khajahana of Ward No. 3 of Siddharthanagar Municipality, Bhaiya Tol of Ward No. 6, and the Bank Road area.

Streets filled with water have caused problems for both pedestrians and vehicles. Homes and shops in these areas have also been inundated.

The premises of Bhim Hospital, considered one of the city’s key institutions, have also been affected by flooding, making it difficult for patients and their relatives to access and move around the hospital.

Similarly, water has collected at the entrance and parking area of the recently opened Gautam Buddha International Airport, causing inconvenience for travelers.

Road traffic has also been affected due to heavy rainfall.
