KATHMANDU: The monsoon’s low-pressure line is currently located south of its normal position, and the low-pressure area around Sikkim is affecting Nepal’s eastern region.

As a result, hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces are experiencing light to moderate rainfall. The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has forecast heavy rain at one or two places in the hilly areas of Koshi and Karnali provinces.

This afternoon, generally cloudy conditions are expected over the hilly regions and partly cloudy weather elsewhere.

Light to moderate rainfall is likely in some places, with chances of heavy rainfall in parts of Koshi and Karnali.

Tonight, Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces may see moderate rainfall, while heavy rainfall is possible in the hilly and Tarai areas of Koshi Province.

Authorities have advised the public to remain cautious in areas with heavy rain forecasts.
