KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has warned of heavy rain this afternoon in some hilly and Terai areas of Karnali and Sudurpaschim provinces.

Alongside rainfall, strong windstorms are possible in parts of the Terai regions of Lumbini and Sudurpaschim provinces, the division said.

The skies are expected to remain generally cloudy across the country today and tonight, with widespread cloud cover persisting in all provinces.

Moderate rainfall is likely this afternoon in many parts of the hilly and Terai regions of Karnali and Sudurpaschim, and in some areas of the remaining provinces. A few Terai regions may also receive scattered rain. Tonight, the weather will remain generally cloudy.

Moderate rainfall is expected in some places of Bagmati, Gandaki, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while other provinces may experience light to moderate showers, particularly in hilly and Terai areas.
