KATHMANDU: Monsoon winds are currently affecting the country. The Meteorological Forecasting Division has stated that the monsoon low pressure line is located slightly north of the average location.

It will be generally cloudy throughout the country this afternoon. There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder/lightning in many places in the hilly regions of the country, including Gandaki Province and Lumbini Province, and in some places in the Terai region. There is also a possibility of heavy rain in one or two places in Koshi, Gandaki and Lumbini Provinces, the division has stated.

Tonight will be generally cloudy across the country. There is a possibility of moderate rain with thunder/lightning at many places in Koshi, Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki provinces and at some places in the remaining provinces. There is also a possibility of heavy rain at one or two places in Koshi province.

The Division has requested the general public and all concerned bodies to stay informed of the latest weather information as there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in one or two places in Koshi, Gandaki and Lumbini provinces.
