KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Meteorological Forecasting Division has reported that the monsoon’s low-pressure line is currently located south of its average position.
According to the division, skies remain generally cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim Provinces, while other areas are partly cloudy.
Light to moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning has been recorded in some places of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim, as well as in one or two hilly locations of Bagmati and Gandaki Provinces.
This afternoon, generally cloudy conditions are expected over Koshi, Madhes, and the country’s hilly regions, with partial cloudiness elsewhere.
Moderate rainfall is likely in some areas of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, and in a few hilly parts of the other provinces.
Heavy rainfall is also possible at one or two locations in the Tarai of Koshi Province and the hills of Bagmati Province.
Tonight, skies will remain generally cloudy over Koshi, Madhes, and hilly regions nationwide, while partly cloudy conditions will persist in the rest of the country.
Moderate rainfall is expected in some places of Koshi, Madhes, Bagmati, and Gandaki Provinces, as well as in hilly areas of other provinces.
Heavy rainfall is also possible in one or two places in the Tarai of Koshi Province and the hills of Bagmati Province.Today, sunrise occurred at 5:43 a.m. and sunset will be at 6:22 p.m.
