KATHMANDU: Continuous rainfall has caused water flow through the Koshi Barrage to rise sharply, with the latest measurement showing a discharge of 97,855 cusecs—officials have described this as “above normal.”

Authorities have urged people living downstream and settlements along the river to remain alert and exercise caution, as rainfall since yesterday has elevated water levels across rivers and streams in the region.
