KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology’s Weather Forecasting Division has stated that the entire country is currently under the influence of monsoon winds.

The monsoon’s low-pressure line is situated near its average position.

According to the division, the skies are generally cloudy in Bagmati, Gandaki, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, while the rest of the provinces are experiencing partial cloud cover.

Light rainfall is occurring in a few areas of Koshi, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.

This afternoon, the weather across the country is expected to remain generally cloudy. There is a possibility of moderate rainfall accompanied by thunder and lightning in many parts of the hilly regions, including Sudurpaschim Province, and in a few areas of the Terai.

Tonight, the hilly areas are expected to remain generally cloudy, while the Terai will see partial cloudiness.

Moderate rainfall with thunder and lightning is likely in a few places in the hills and one or two spots in the Terai.

A few areas in the hilly region of Gandaki Province may also experience heavy rainfall.
