KATHMANDU: The Department of Hydrology and Meteorology has reported that the western parts of Lumbini, Karnali, and Sudurpaschim provinces, along with some western areas of Gandaki Province, are currently under the influence of westerly winds.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country is experiencing weakened effects of monsoon and local winds.

This afternoon, partial cloud cover is expected over Koshi Province and the hilly regions, while most other areas will see generally clear skies.

Light rain is possible at one or two places in the hilly areas.

According to the department, tonight’s weather will remain partly cloudy in the hilly regions of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, with generally clear conditions elsewhere.

Light rainfall is also possible at one or two locations in those hilly regions.
