KATHMANDU: The country is currently experiencing the partial influence of the western low-pressure system, along with westerly winds.

As of Thursday morning, the weather in the hilly regions is partly to mostly cloudy, while the rest of the country remains mostly clear.

The Weather Forecasting Division has reported fog and mist in some areas of the Terai.

The Division predicts light rain, with thunder and lightning, in parts of Sudurpaschim and Karnali provinces, and in a few areas of other hilly regions.

Light snowfall is also expected in some high hilly and mountainous areas, including parts of Far West and Karnali provinces.

The Division has warned that snow, rain, and lightning could cause disruptions to daily activities, including health, agriculture, and road and air transportation. People are advised to take precautions to mitigate potential effects.
