Sandeep Lamichhane, the former captain of the Nepali National Cricket Team, has filed an appeal in the High Court of Patan against the decision of the Kathmandu District Court to sentence him to 8 years of imprisonment. He went to Patan High Court today along with his lawyer. He was sentenced to 8 years imprisonment by the Kathmandu District Court on the charge of rape. He was recently hospitalized and underwent surgery.
