KATHMANDU: Tribhuvan Army Club has won by 8 wickets. Tribhuvan Army Club defeated Madhesh Pradesh by 8 wickets in the match under Jay Trophy Elite Cup. Army achieved the target of 28 runs set by Madhesh Pradesh with the loss of 2 wickets.

Batting first, Army declared its innings at 225 runs for the loss of 9 wickets, but Madhesh Pradesh was all out for 102 runs in the first innings and had to follow-on. Madhesh, trailing by 123 runs in the ongoing match, could only add 150 runs in the second innings.

Despite losing Tritaraj Das and Santosh Karki, the Army, who were set a target of just 28 runs, were able to secure the victory through openers Imran Sheikh and Bashir Ahmed.

With the win, Tribhuvan Army Club is close to the final, while the Madhesh team is out of the tournament.
