KATHMANDU: The Ordinance-2081, which amends some Nepal Acts related to the promotion of good governance and delivery of public services has been approved by the National Assembly.

The Ordinance on Promotion of Good Governance and Public Service Delivery was approved by a majority in the meeting held on Thursday.

The main opposition party, the CPN-Maoist Center, as well as opposition parties, the National Independent Party, the National Democracy Party, the CPN-Unified Socialist Party, the Nepal Mazdoor Kisan Party and the Aam Janata Party, had registered a notice to reject the ordinance, but the proposal was rejected by a majority.

Since the Ordinance on Promotion of Good Governance and Public Service Delivery has been approved by both houses, the way has now been cleared for it to become part of the law.
