KATHMANDU: Former King Gyanendra Shah has arrived in Kathmandu. He arrived at Tribhuvan Airport from Pokhara on Sunday afternoon.

His supporters welcomed him at the airport gate by shouting slogans. Shah chartered a Simrik Air helicopter to travel from Pokhara to Kathmandu. He has been given a grand welcome by party workers including the RPP, RPP Nepal and supporters of the monarchy.

Royalists had gathered at various places since noon to welcome the former king and had reached the airport gate with a rally. The former king had accepted the greetings of his supporters while standing in his car at the airport gate.
