KATHMANDU: The Weather Forecasting Division has stated that Nepal’s current weather conditions are being affected by westerly and local winds, along with some influence from moisture-laden air coming in from the Arabian Sea.
According to the Division, hilly regions are experiencing partly to generally cloudy skies, while most other areas remain mostly clear to partly cloudy. Some locations are seeing light rain accompanied by thunder and lightning.
Temperatures have risen in many hilly areas, including the Terai regions of Madhesh, Bagmati, Gandaki, Lumbini, and Sudurpaschim provinces.
This afternoon, skies are expected to remain partly to mostly cloudy in hilly areas, particularly in Koshi Province. Elsewhere, conditions will be mostly clear to partly cloudy.
There is a chance of light to moderate rain with thunder and lightning in a few locations in the hilly areas of Koshi, Bagmati, and Gandaki provinces, and in isolated spots elsewhere. Light rain and snowfall are also possible in some high hill and mountainous regions.
For tonight, partly to generally cloudy conditions are expected in the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces, while the rest of the country will see mostly clear to partly cloudy skies.
Light rain with thunder and lightning may occur in a few spots within the hilly areas of Koshi and Gandaki provinces.
