KATHMANDU: The Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP), the fourth-largest party in Nepal’s parliament, has announced back-to-back meetings of its Secretariat and Parliamentary Party for Monday.
According to an official statement from the party, the Secretariat meeting will begin at 1 p.m., followed by the Parliamentary Party meeting at 3 p.m., both at the RSP’s central office.
The meetings aim to deliberate on recent political developments, the alleged involvement of Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak in the visit visa controversy, and ongoing internal party matters.
The RSP has taken a firm stance on the visa scandal, declaring that it will obstruct parliamentary proceedings until Home Minister Lekhak steps down.
The party accuses him of complicity in the controversial handling of visit visas and is demanding immediate accountability.
