NEW DELHI: Indian cricketer Rinku Singh will get engaged to Samajwadi Party MP Priya Saroj on June 8 in Lucknow, confirmed her father Tufani Saroj, a two-time former MP.

He stated that the engagement will be an intimate ceremony with close friends, family, and relatives in attendance.

According to Tufani Saroj, “Rinku and Priya have known each other for some time. They met through Priya’s friend’s father, who is a cricketer himself. With the blessings of both families, they decided to get married.”

The marriage was finalized by mutual consent after both families met in Aligarh. The wedding is scheduled for November 18 at Hotel Taj in Varanasi and will be a traditional affair. Invitations will be sent to prominent personalities from cricket, Bollywood, business, and politics.

Rinku Singh, 27, has played 2 ODIs and 33 T20Is for India and is a key player for Kolkata Knight Riders in the IPL. Saroj, 26, is a first-time MP from Machhlishahr, Jaunpur.
