KATHMANDU: The parliamentary party meeting of the Communist Party of Nepal (Maoist Centre) has commenced today at the party office located in Singha Durbar.

The meeting is expected to focus on detailed discussions regarding the upcoming fiscal year 2082/083 (2025/26) budget.

In addition to the budget, the meeting will also address pressing political and social issues currently affecting the country.

The meeting will discuss the recent obstruction of the House of Representatives session by the opposition.

The opposition alleges that Home Minister Ramesh Lekhak is involved in a visit visa scam at Tribhuvan International Airport and demands his resignation.

On May 29, the opposition allowed only the budget session to proceed.
